Appetizers: Four Senses Appetizers

Without the sense of sight, the senses of hearing, smell, taste and touch will be heightened.  With a blindfold and two willing participants, you'll experience food in a new way.

Serves 2

Favorite music

Scented candles

2 willing participants

1 blindfold

Various finger foods

Include a variety of finger foods such as chocolate, strawberries, grapes, oysters, and libations.  These foods are considered to be aphrodisiacs. Be sure to include foods with different taste sensations: sweet, salty, sour, spicy and bitter. Also include various textures, like soft and moist, heavy and dense, light and crispy, watery, dry, crunchy, and chewy. Olives, nuts, cheeses, vegetables and fruits are nice additions.

Light the candles and play some romantic music.  Spread out a tempting array of finger foods.  Lead your sweetheart blindfolded to the table. Feed each other, allowing both of you to experience the feel and smell of the food.  Notice the sounds inside and outside the house.
